Old Folks

24 Dec

The home I moved into last month has been updated for the 21st century and looks beautiful, well, everything but the master bathroom. I have a feeling that the people who lived here before us thought bathroom remodeling in Chevy Chase MD would be an enormous endeavor. Sometimes it comes down to moving pipes and redoing the piping as well as the decorative coloring and tiling. However, interestingly enough remodeling this bathroom, as I have been looking into it, may take a shorter amount of time and less money than I had originally thought just stepping foot in here!

Fenced In

24 Dec

I needed a fence contractor in Ridgewood NJ to enclose the new community tennis court. We have all been avid players and we needed a new fence to enclose to area! Thankfully we found someone that could come quickly and install the fence almost immediately. We didn’t even need to change our routine or miss a single day of tennis. They were the tops!

Kitchen Makeover!

24 Dec

It’s the most wonderful time of the year – I’m finally remodeling my kitchen! I did a lot of research into kitchen remodeling in Detroit MI to come up with some great, modern and sleek ideas and am in love with the design my team came up with. My favorite part by far is the built in bench for my new kitchen table, and the beautiful new back splash I handpicked! It has been such a wonderful experience thus far. Tomorrow starts all the construction, and I’m a little nervous about living in a construction zone but I’m more excited about seeing my final product!

Holiday Kitchen Problems

6 Dec

Let’s take a quick tally – how many of you know someone with an outdated kitchen? My friend Fred is just the guy.  He was telling me about his Thanksgiving, and how he cooked for 20 people in an outdated kitchen where the appliances hardly worked. The turkey was too big to fit in to the oven and they ended up having to cut it in half! Fred could tell by my reaction that I was not impressed, though his tale did make for an entertaining story. I started telling him about the benefits of kitchen remodeling, and how a remodel, with updated appliances, could really come in handy next year. Especially here in Oakland County, MI, where we like to celebrate the holidays with lots of family and friends! It seemed like Fred had been getting the same lecture from his wife. Maybe this Thanksgiving was the last straw for them and their kitchen, and they’ll be turning things around for the better.

Meeting Before The Work Starts

6 Dec

I worked with the most amazing Home Improvement Contactor in NY.  I had to share, because from start to finish was an incredible experience! Before getting started we had a kick off meeting where I basically just got to say all the wonderful things I wanted in my new bathroom. I didn’t have to worry about my budget, they worried about it for me! I now have the claw foot tub I’ve been dreaming about for years, and heated tile floors. I truly couldn’t be happier with the process and experience. I can’t stress this enough, but finding the right contractors will make the whole renovating process so much easier!
